ADVOCACY
Cronulla‑Sutherland Veteran Association
Independent DVA Advocates — "Fear Nothing, Keep Going"
Who We Are
The Cronulla‑Sutherland Veteran Association provides independent, unpaid, and relentless DVA advocacy for veterans and their families. We do this work because it matters, not because we profit from it.

What We Stand For
We tell the truth, without spin, without shortcuts, and without any bullshit.
-
There is no such thing as a “fast claim.”
-
There is no such thing as paying more to get a faster outcome.
-
No advocate controls DVA timeframes.
-
No one can promise approvals, deadlines, or outcomes.
Anyone who suggests otherwise is misleading veterans.
What we can control is how hard we fight.
We don’t sit back and wait for emails.
We don’t wait for DVA to “get around to it.”
We chase claims every day, on the phone, in writing, and through every available channel. Veterans deserve persistence, not silence.
We take no fees, no commissions, no admin charges, no skimming, and no hidden costs.
Our advocacy is built on integrity, transparency, and service, never profit.
We don’t make promises we can’t keep.
We stand with veterans through a system that often lets them down, and we stay in the fight until the job is done.
How We Operate — No Tricks, No Bullshit
There are no tricks in how we advocate.
We use the same authorised systems every legitimate advocate uses, including PRODA and the official advocate channels that allow us to act as your approved third‑party representative.
That means:
-
What you see in MyService is exactly what we see.
-
We can prepare, submit, and manage claims on your behalf, with your consent.
-
We can respond to DVA, upload evidence, and progress your claim as your authorised advocate.
-
Every action we take is done with your approval, after advising you on the best and safest way to proceed.
There is no secret fast lane, no paid shortcuts, and no hidden process, just authorised access, transparency, and hard work.
Privacy, OPSEC, and Professional Conduct
We do not put your story on Facebook or any social media platform to chase sign‑ups.
We do not use your situation as a marketing tool.
We do not share your details with other veterans, at the pub, or anywhere else.
We operate quietly, discreetly, and professionally.
Your OPSEC is yours, and we protect it.
Everything you share with us stays with us.
Your privacy is not a bargaining chip.
Your trust is not a commodity.
Accountability and Transparency
Public servants at DVA do not work solely for their immediate supervisor —
they work for the Australian public, and that includes every veteran we represent.
We remind them of that responsibility every day:
-
through clear, documented emails
-
through professional, persistent phone calls
-
and through in‑person visits to DVA offices across Australia when required
We expect transparency.
We expect accountability.
We expect public servants to meet the standards set by their own legislation, policies, and service charters.
Our role is to ensure veterans are not ignored, delayed, or forgotten in the system.
We do this by holding DVA staff to the obligations they already have, lawfully, firmly, and consistently.
This is not confrontation.
This is advocacy.
This is service.
This is what veterans deserve.
Service Dog Support
We also assist veterans with:
-
service dog applications
-
supporting documentation
-
guidance through the approval process
-
practical advice on training, informed by lived experience
Service dogs change lives, and we help veterans access that support with the same persistence we bring to every claim.

Our Legally Registered Motto
“FEAR NOTHING – KEEP GOING”
This motto defines our culture.
It reflects how we advocate, how we support veterans, and how we push through every barrier the system puts in front of them.
It is the standard we hold ourselves to, every day, every claim, every veteran.
